Classic Hits broadcaster Gareth O'Callaghan has opened up about learning how to walk again.
The Dubliner and his family were involved in a serious crash in Cork City in March. Gareth spent six weeks in hospital before returning home to continue his recovery.
Gareth returned to Classic Hits last month after taking some time off after the crash. In an update to fans on Thursday, the former RTE DJ posted a video of him walking in his garden, describing it as "painful but fantastic".

He said on social media: "Learning to walk again. It's painful but it's fantastic. This must be what it's like to be a one-year old and suddenly you start to stagger, and then walk. Getting there slowly."
While in hospital, Gareth expressed gratitude "for all the kindness" shown to his family since the crash. He said: "Thank you for all the kind comments in recent weeks, and to those of you who have sent handwritten cards, Mass bouquets, novenas, books, poetry, and also the Spotify playlists.
"I am genuinely so grateful for all the kindness shown to us in so many ways during these past five challenging weeks. Thank you again to all of the staff here at the South Infirmary, SIVUH, who have been fantastic with their support and kindness since I arrived here."
