Brits are using a whopping 144 litres of water a day – enough to fill more than four large wheelie bins every week, research has found.
More than two-thirds of Brits' daily water usage is taken up by showering for less than ten minutes – with eight minutes under the shower using as much as 96 litres of water.
Meanwhile, six litres of water is used up every minute the tap is left running – with over half guilty of doing so while brushing their teeth.
