Brits dumped by an ex can name a BIN LORRY after them for Valentine's Day

Brits have the chance to get revenge this Valentine's Day after being dumped by a partner by putting their name on a bin lorry.

A waste collection company is offering the opportunity for people to have their former lover's name on one of their trash-filled trucks.

Yorkshire based company Divert.co.uk, which handles everything from house clearances to recycling domestic and business waste, is giving the free chance just in time for Valentine's Day simply by filling out a form on its website.

And people will also be told which town their ex's namesake has been deployed so they can see the trucks for themselves and maybe take a photo as a memory.

Company spokesperson Mark Hall said: "We have plenty of trucks in need of a good name and we thought, why not give people the chance to put their trashy ex behind them once and for all?

"It couldn't be any easier to arrange either, all you have to do is click on the link, fill out the form, and hey presto - you've whacked their name on a bin lorry.

"We've all trash talked about an ex before. So imagine the pleasure you'll get by seeing their name on the side of a bin lorry full of rubbish.

"What better way is there to let that trashy ex go than by waving their namesake truck off into the sunset and out of your life for good?"

One person, Abbie, has already named a bin lorry after her former beau and joked that the difference with her ex is that the lorry will be cleaning up rather than causing mess.

She also feels that by naming the truck after him will be doing "something good for society".

"I always wanted my ex to do something useful with his time, and in a funny way at least the new truck named after him will be doing something good for society," said Abbie from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.

"And to add to the joke, at least his truck won't be leaving a mess behind everywhere it goes!"

If your rubbish ex deserves to have a bin truck named after them, head over to divert.co.uk/name-a-bin-truck and follow the simple instructions.

Mr Hall said: "We can even let you know which town we’ve relocated your ‘ex’ to just in case you want to take a picture and send it to them so they get the hint.

"Alternatively, you could just move on and forget about them, but to be honest with you, where’s the fun in that?"
