Travellers will soon be able to book thousands of coach journeys through the Uber app, as the company has unveiled new partnerships with National Rail, National Express, and megabus.
The move means coach travel across the UK will be simpler to book onto for those who use the app.
It comes the month after Uber announced it was introducing a feature that allowed people to book onto trains and hire cars.
Uber has claimed the features are more important now than ever due to an increased desire to go on holiday in the UK.
Research from the company found that almost three in five of 2,000 Brits surveyed (57%) say they’re now more likely to holiday in the UK over going abroad.
For 49% of people, choosing the lowest cost option is the most important factor when travelling, according to the survey,
Andrew Brem, general manager at Uber UK, said: “Uber users have been able to book rides, bikes, boat services and scooters on the Uber app for a number of years now.
"We’re thrilled to expand Uber Travel, adding the UK’s best travel services across rail and road creating the ultimate door-to-door travel experience.”
Uber users who book their coach or rail bookings on the Uber app will also receive 10% of the cost of their booking back as Uber Credits, for use on future rides, travel bookings or Uber Eats deliveries.

- Uber Travel Home Page : Uber app user arrives here when they click “Travel” from the home screen
- Origin/Destination Search : Uber app user enters their travel origin and destination (either cities or one of the suggested station codes)
- Date Selection : Uber app user selects their travel date
- Passenger/Discount Card Selection : Uber app user selects their party size and any associated discount cards
- Payment and Usage : Uber app user pays using their existing Uber account payment details and chooses between a mobile ticket or whether they’d prefer to collect a physical paper ticket
