Britney spotted at Bristol Airport as she hints on social media she'll appear at Glastonbury

Britney Spears may have been spotted at Bristol Airport this weekend amid speculation she will be one of Sir Elton John's surprise guests at this year's Glastonbury Festival. The Gimme More singer has already fuelled speculation with an Instagram post showing a picture of a print from online art community Notre Arte of a McDonald’s meal next to a jar of roses, with the American captioning it with three British flags.

Sir Elton has promised a star-studded line up, which is typical for the Sunday headline slot, and he and Britney collaborated last year on Hold Me Closer (Tiny Dancer). A post on Facebook, seen by Bristol Live, had comments from multiple people saying they believed they had spotted her.

It is not known who Sir Elton's guests will be, but there is speculation Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Sam Fender, Olly Alexander, Eminem, Lewis Capaldi, Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton and even Kate Bush could be part of his set.

The 76-year-old Your Song hitmaker's Glastonbury debut comes around five years after he announced his 350-date goodbye tour, Farewell Yellow Brick Road. Ahead of his showstopping performance on Sunday, June 25, Sir Elton sat down with BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo to discuss what fans can expect, whether they'll be screaming the lyrics in the shadow of the Pyramid Stage, or watching along at home.

Sir Elton has said that, after decades of touring the world and performing hit after hit in the company of countless fans, the opportunity to play at Somerset's legendary festival has "come around at the best time in my career", as he makes his final tour around the globe.
