Britney Spears ‘working on new music for first time in six years’

Britney Spears has reportedly started plotting her musical comeback amid claims she has started working on new music.

It has been six years since the pop star has released a new album but there is a huge demand for the singer to return to music.

And now she is free of the conservatorship, it has been claimed her team have begun approaching people the pop star has worked with in the past about new music.

A music insider told The Sun: “It is very early days and Britney isn’t putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything, but her team are putting feelers out about the prospect of new music.

“Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved.

“She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf.”

The Standard has approached a representative for Britney Spears for further comment.

In December, Spears teased the possibility of new songs sparking hope among her fanbase who ever since have speculated about upcoming music in Instagram comments.

Among the comments, some people wrote “BLACKOUT 2.0 COMING” and “Blackoutney 2.0 confirmed”.

Back in 2019, the Toxic hitmaker went on an “indefinite work hiatus” after she finished her Las Vegas residency.

Recently, the songstress has been on holiday in Hawaii with her fiancé Sam Asghari.

The singer has been sharing glamorous photographs from their break on Instagram.

Also, she declared she wants a family with her love.

“I love you so much … I want a family with you… I want it all with you !!!!” She wrote.
