Britney Spears has told fans she suffers from incurable nerve damage on the right side of her body which makes it hard to sleep.
The Toxic singer, 40, took to Instagram and opened up about how she's been experiencing pain and numbness - but fortunately she's found dancing helps alleviate some of her symptoms.
Sharing a video of her bare footed dancing wearing a red crop top and revealing black hot pants, Britney shared a lengthy post offering a health update to fans.
She posted: "I'm dancing in time now Victoria … yes … nerve damage on the right side of my body … there’s no cure except God I guess."
Without explaining who Victoria is, she continued: ''nerve damage is caused sometimes when you don’t get enough oxygen to your brain … your brain literally shuts down … blah blah blah old story … in that place I didn’t breathe when I was there … nerve damage causes parts of your body to go numb.''
Brit said she is currently experiencing 'pins and needles 'on the 'right side of her body' around three times a week which wakes her and disturbs her sleep.
She added: "It shoots up to my neck and the part that hurts the worst is my temple on my head … it stings and it's scary.''
Fortunately the pop princess has found that dancing has helps like medication her and says she's 'got a lot better' in recent times.
Hinting about her return to Instagram since her Conservatorship break she added: "It's funny though as when I dance I don't feel any pain."
The singer further admits she is finding dancing is like a form of meditation describing how her 'mind literally goes to a place of my inner child' allowing her to breathe.
The star says she's also noticed an improvement in her eyes and 'holds her head up correctly'.
Signing off the rambling update to her revealed to her 41.7 million fans she added: "Either way I'm getting a lot better, I can breathe … I feel smarter because well, Jesus I can breathe now … either way, I'm breathing now and I can dance in time, Victoria … I send all my love to every single one of you … this is me this morning …I'm gonna vacuum now!!!'"
But followers on Instagram once again sparked concern for the singer's mental health as the post had appeared to have been deleted and re-posted a number of times.
Others were distracted by the background as a child car seat and doll could be viewed in the far right of the clip.
One followers posted: "Everything about this makes me sad."
But another added: "Nerve damage sounds awful, I pray you can find recovery from that. I’m glad you found the right medication."
