Britney Spears drops HUGE hint she's set to appear at Glastonbury Festival with cryptic post

Britney Spears is rumoured to be one of Sir Elton John’s guests for his first-ever Glastonbury Festival appearance on Sunday.

The pop star collaborated with Elton on their track Hold Me Closer (Tiny Dancer) last year, which reached number 1 in the US and number 3 in the UK.

And it is thought she will be one of the stars to join him on stage for the Sunday night headline slot – which is set to be his last performance in the UK as part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Taking to Instagram, Britney seemed to hint she was coming to the UK in a cryptic post earlier today.

Sharing a picture of a print from online art community Notre Arte of a McDonald’s meal next to a jar of roses, the Gimme More singer captioned it with three British flags.

Elton’s husband David Furnish revealed the 76-year-old music legend would be joined by a star-studded line-up when he takes to the Pyramid Stage tomorrow night to close Glastonbury Festival.

Teasing plans for what should be one of the most iconic sets Glastonbury has ever seen, David told Sky News there would be “four collaborators of his [Elton’s ] choosing”.

“People he just thought, ‘I’d really like to do something with these artists at Glastonbury’. And that’s I’m going to say,” he teased.

“This one is very special. It’s not just another day at the office. It’s a different set-list, it’s a huge outdoor live festival.”

Other big stars who could join Elton on stage include Dua Lipa, who he released the chart-topping Cold Heart (Pnau Remix) with in August 2021.

Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Sam Fender, Olly Alexander, Eminem, Lewis Capaldi, Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton and even Kate Bush have also been rumoured to be part of his set.

And it is claimed that Hollywood star Taron Egerton, who played Elton in his 2019 Rocketman biopic, will also take to the stage for a special appearance.

“Elton is going to give the performance of a lifetime at Glastonbury and has lined up some surprises for his fans at Worthy Farm,” a source told The Sun.

“Taron will be coming out to sing alongside Elton after befriending him while making the film.”

The insider added: “The final plans are being kept a closely-guarded secret.”

Friday night saw Artic Monkeys take to the Pyramid Stage as headliners, but some fans were disappointed with the band’s performance.

The Sheffield rock band performed a 90-minute gig hours after Foo Fighters put on an epic surprise show on the Pyramid stage.

But some confused festival-goers complained as lead singer Alex Turner and the group were criticised for slowing tracks down and making it hard for fans to sing along.

One wrote: "I’m sorry but I refuse to believe anyone enjoys watching Arctic Monkeys live. They sound so off beat, slow and lazy. Amazing songs, but butchered on stage".

"Feeling a bit disappointed with the Arctic Monkeys at Glastonbury. Mardybum & Bet you look good on the dance floor, the only good ones. They’ve gone so slow & downbeat for my liking xx," another added.

US rockers Guns N’ Roses will take to the stage tonight as the main Saturday headliners followed by Elton John on Sunday from 9pm.
