Britney Spears ' ex-husband Kevin Federline has said that he "can't wait" for the restraining order that he brought against her father Jamie Spears to be over.
The singer, 40, and the former backup dancer, 44, had two sons together – Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15 – during their three year marriage, which began in 2004 and ended in 2007.
It's understood that Kevin later brought a restraining order against his former father-in-law Jamie, now 70, in 2019 following claims of a dispute with one of his sons.
It's been reported that the restraining order is about to expire, with Kevin saying that he "can't wait" and adding he is willing to welcome Jamie back into his teenage sons' lives.
Kevin opened up in an interview on ITV News – which aired on Monday night – in which he was asked if he would welcome Jamie back into his son's lives once the restraining order expires.
He responded: "I would absolutely welcome him back. Especially if that's what the boys wanted. I have no hard feelings towards Jamie. People make mistakes."

Kevin added of Britney's father, who was in charge of her conservatorship: "I feel bad for [Jamie]. He's been put through the wringer. I'm not privy to what's gone on and I've stayed away for a reason."
He also commented on Britney's lawyer's claims Jamie "abused her privacy and human rights", which sparked Jamie to call for an investigation into her conservatorship.
The dad said: "Until I see that it's actually proven I'm not going to keep my kids away from him. I can't wait until the restraining order is over because I am going to call him."
The father-of-six added in the interview: "I know he feels horrible for what's happened, and the boys have forgiven him."
Discussing the cause of the restraining order, Kevin said: "Without getting into too many details, boundaries were overstepped at a time where so much was going on.
"The boys were having issues and I couldn't ignore it anymore. I had to take my boys, hug them tight and protect them from anything else that could have gone wrong."
The interview saw him asked about maintaining a relationship between his sons and their maternal relatives, with him explaining: "Family is really important to me."
He further stated: "Just because they are not my immediate family; they are my kids'. I feel it's important they have a relationship with them regardless of what happens.
"It's been really hard. They want to see their grandpa; they love their uncle Brian. It's important to me that regardless of what's going on the boys can go and see their other family, I encourage it."
