UK armed forces are preparing to participate in a large-scale military exercise in Poland, amid growing division as US president Donald Trump declined to confirm if Russia’s president Vladimir Putin initiated the conflict in Ukraine.
The planned involvement was confirmed by defence secretary Wes Streeting during his inaugural visit to the US in the role, where he announced UK forces would join the "major exercise".
