British Transport Police officer sacked after starting shift five times over drink-drive limit

A serving British Transport Police officer has been dismissed after being several times over the blood alcohol limit when he showed up for work.

Following an accelerated hearing, PC Jason McGuiness, was dismissed with immediate effect on January 30 in what has been called “a serious breach” of standards.
