
A serving British Transport Police officer has been charged with two counts of rape and sexual offences.
PC Jabul Islam, 37, based in London, is also accused of attempted rape, assault by penetration and causing a female to engage in sexual activity.
A force spokeswoman said Islam was investigated by Metropolitan Police colleagues.
She added: “The incidents took place off duty and PC Islam is currently suspended.”
Islam is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 24.
