British Transport Police issue statement after officer filmed 'punching' detained man

British Transport Police

Footage has been widely shared online of a British Transport Police officer appearing to punch a detained man.

The footage, captured at Liverpool Central Station on Tuesday, January 18, shows a man restrained to the floor by a number of officers.

One officer then appears to take a swing and punch the man while he's on the floor.
