- Founded in 2015 by friends Charlie Morgan and Jackson Quinn, the brand gained fame for its signature gold bottles and social media marketing.
- Broadcaster and DJ Charlie Sloth joined the firm as an investor, with the business growing to employ more than 80 people in Wales.
- Co-founder Charlie Morgan hailed the acquisition by Sazerac as the natural next step for Au Vodka's global expansion.
- Sazerac, which owns major brands including Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Southern Comfort, aims to use the deal to strengthen its UK market presence.
