British journalist ‘miraculously survived’ after missile almost hits him while reporting in Lebanon

  • Footage shared by Russian state broadcaster RT shows Sweeney running for cover as an explosion detonated behind him.
  • The blast sent both Sweeney and Rida flying to the ground, where they were heard cursing and groaning in pain.
  • RT confirmed that the pair 'miraculously survived' the incident and are currently receiving hospital treatment for shrapnel injuries.
  • Margarita Simonyan, RT's editor-in-chief, stated online that 'War journalists are not legitimate targets' and expressed prayers for their recovery.
