
One of Britain’s oldest industrial manufacturers has become the latest major listed company to say it is leaving the London stock market.
Specialist automotive engineering group Dowlais, which traces its roots back to the formation of Dowlais Ironworks Co in south Wales at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution in 1759, said it had agreed a merger with New York stock exchange quoted American Axle and Manufacturing (AAM) in a deal valuing it at £1.2 billion.
