British holidaymakers may soon be able to bypass passport queues with the UK reportedly planning to introduce facial recognition technology at border control from as early as next year.
Travellers arriving at ports will no longer need to leave their cars, as they can drive through “contactless corridors” equipped with high-powered cameras that match their faces to their passport photos under a trial scheme.
