A major airline has revealed that its flights are being affected by 'technical issues'. British Airways has stated that its flights are being impacted by a "technical issue", in the latest in a series of damaging IT problems for the company.
"We're investigating and working hard to resolve a technical issue and apologise for the inconvenience," BA told Sky News. "We will provide further updates as quickly as possible."
The airline issued the statement after being hit with comments from frustrated customers on social media. Some passengers posted updates suggesting planes were delayed at its Heathrow's Terminal 5 base, suggesting that they were facing long delays at check-in.

Previously British Airways had cancelled all short-haul flights from Heathrow due to technical issues on February 26. This was part of a period in which the airline had similar issues which have led to passengers being left without flights.
BA said the problem last month also caused delays for its customers using Gatwick and London City Airport. And that is was related to a hardware issue and is not because of a cyber attack.
