Britain's Got Talent wild card act leaves ITV viewers confused

As Britain's Got Talent 2023 series is about to reach its climax after what seems like a lifetime of weekly episodes and a wealth of semi-finals, viewers were left confused by one of the acts. Comedian Tonikaku posed as Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, and even as judge Simon Cowell pressing the red buzzer – and his “hero” Freddie Mercury during Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now.

The wild card act left the judges in fits of laughter with his uncanny series of superhero “naked” poses during Britain’s Got Talent final. At the end of each pose, he said: “Don’t worry I’m wearing”, and pointed to his pants.

Cowell said: “You’re one of the funniest people we have ever, ever had on this show, I am so happy to have you back on the final. You were absolutely brilliant.”

Judge Bruno Tonioli described it as “insanity”, while Alesha Dixon said: “You made me break my ring I laughed so hard. I was banging the desk in laughter.”

But, many of viewers were left saying the same thing on Twitter - they were confused by the act. @Gailsy52 tweeted: "Why are they laughing am I missing something ???"

While @Gimms said: "Some genuinely amazing and talented acts didn't make it through to the final, yet the judges chose to put this through..." @Maxelaar simply comment: "What’s happening"
