Britain's Got Talent viewers were left scratching their heads during tonight's (June 2) semi-finals as judge Simon Cowell made some rather 'strange' noises. The music mogul began letting out some 'weird' cat sounds while fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon were giving feedback to dance performers Romeo and Icy.
Simon praised the duo for their fantastic moves on stage. However, Amanda and Alesha said they weren't the best dancers on the show in terms of technique.
Clearly annoyed by their criticism, Simon proceeded to meow into his microphone as they were still talking. He gradually increased the volume to the point where the audience could no longer hear the other judges.

He didn't stop with his 'weird' noises until host Declan Donnelly interrupted to tell the 63-year-old to stop. Many viewers tuning in from home took to Twitter to question Simon's feline impression.
DavidMackayy asked: "I seriously need an answer as to why Simon was sat meowing? How weird #bgt." JohnLoony admitted: "Was that Simon Cowell making cat noises? At first I thought it was a mad person in the audience."
Alongside a GIF of cats running away scared, Liadaksy put: "All the cats around England after hearing that weird noise Simon made."
Sebmeister penned: "Strange behaviour from @SimonCowell in tonight’s #BGT Still arguing over the cream pie, making meow noises when the other judges criticised his favourite act. Is everything okay Simon?"
Meanwhile, many others took aim at the judge for being 'disrespectful' and 'rude' by making the sounds while Amanda and Alesha were talking. WestEndCorner declared: "Why was Simon Cowell channelling his inner cat. That was rude, disrespectful and weird."
PastelUnicorn5 fumed: "I missed everything that Amanda and Alesha said because of the man-child we call Simon." Wheelofsteel said: "I thought Simon was rude making cat sounds while Amanda was speaking."
But some viewers found his cattiness comical. Jessmiddleton98 typed: "Simon making meow sounds," followed by crying and laughing emojis. With a picture of their cat, Gaiuslw posted: "Junior is pleased that Simon Cowell can speak cat #bgt."
