Britain's Got Talent contestant Malakai Bayoh was sent straight to the semi-finals after wowing judges in Sunday evening's show.
But some fans of the ITV talent contest were quick to notice that they had seen the 13-year-old opera singer before.
His performance of Pie Jesu was performed while both his mum and sister cheered him on from the audience. And he immediately became a hit with the show's judges - Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

However, it was Simon who loved his performance so much that he hit the Golden Buzzer and sent Malakai straight to the semi-finals. Fans tuning into the show from home also loved his rendition, but some viewers recognised the young boy from some previous performances he had done with a huge classical singing star in the past as well as some performances at the Royal Opera House, the Mirror reports.
Sharing his performance with Aled Jones, one person wrote: "Malokai on BGT though - insane. So talented! I remember I watched the above cover last year w Aled Jones - fave Xmas song."
Another wrote: Super talent seen @BGT in Malakai Bayoh but he has already performed at @RoyalOperaHouse @RoyalAlbertHall with people such as @realaled so not quite the stupendous find the editing makes us believe. Amazing, don't get me wrong; he has a huge career ahead of him whatever."
A third wrote: "Malakai is the young boy who was heckled by a moron at the Royal Opera House last year."
He is no stranger to fame, having made his debut at the Royal Opera House. He was there to sing the role of Oberto in the opera Alcina and in December last year, his festive performances with Aled Jones went viral.
The Royal Opera House were forced to give a lifetime ban to one audience member who booed Malakai's performance.
"Unfortunately, the opening night of Alcina featured an audience member who disrupted the show and the excellent performance by young singer Malakai M Bayoh," they wrote on Twitter at the time.
"We would like to congratulate Malakai M Bayoh for his stellar performance as Oberto in our first night of Alcina. Malakai is astonishingly talented – bringing great acting and beautiful singing to the role – a huge accomplishment for such a young singer. We are appalled that a member of the audience behaved in this way and our support is with Malakai and the cast and creative team of Alcina. Steps have been taken to ensure the audience member in question does not return to the Royal Opera House."
