The Ultimate Magician aired on screens on Sunday, December 18, the mastermind of Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, and is a spinoff of Britain’s Got Talent.

The talent competition was on the hunt for the world’s best magician, with the winner walking away with not only the title but also a £50,000 cash prize.

Rather than singing for their supper, these contestants were, you guessed it, using their magic.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician saw 10 budding magicians from across the globe battle it out, for the shared goal of showing off their awe-inspiring tricks in the hopes of taking home the title of world champion.

Who were the judges?

Making a grand return to their judges’ seats, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams were back on screens.

They were joined by the Las Vegas icon Penn Jillette, famed as being the other half of the magic duo Penn and Teller.

What was the line-up for Britain’s Got Talent: The Ultimate Magician?

Acts gunning for the top magician prize included one simply called Tony, as well as:

The Witch

The Clairvoyants

Marc Spelmann

Mandy Muden

Magical Bones

Kevin James

Eric Chein

Colin Cloud

Richard Jones

Spoiler alert:

After all the acts had performed, rather than the judges making the final call, audience members had the power seat.

The three final acts included The Witch, Magic Bones, and Eric Chien, with host Stephen Mulhern announcing The Witch taking third place.

Who was crowned the ultimate magician?

The final winner between Eric and Magic Bones was revealed by Mulhern, announcing Eric the ultimate winner.

Visibly shocked, Eric admitted he was “still shaking” and was just glad to be back out on stage doing magic and performing again following the Covid pandemic.

Viewers were also quick to comment on his triumphant win, with one writing on Twitter: “Happy for Eric but, for what it’s worth, Colin was my favourite by far.
