Simon Cowell told Saturday night's Golden Buzzer act as he had been waiting for years for them to do Britain's Got Talent, after Alesha Dixon gave them a guaranteed spot in the semi finals.
After millions tuned into see the long-running programme make its return to screens last week, the BGT 2023 auditions continued this weekend and one of the acts on stage was Chicken Shed, a theatre company from North London, welcoming, in their own words 'everybody from all walks of life' to take part.
Talking to the camera, one of their members, Cara, said: "Chicken Shed is a place for people who didn't have a place before, before a younger member added: "It's like we're on big family. If someone's upset we say 'come on, join us, let's have some fun."

After vowing to blow the Britain's Got Talent judges' socks off, the group gave a brilliant rendition of Emeli Sande's Wonder, complete with some terrific dance moves. Twitter was quickly awash with emotional reactions to the performance, with many speculating if one of the judges would be swayed to hit their Golden Buzzer.
And that's exactly what happened, when Alesha reached over the desk to hit it, promoting gold confetti to drop from the ceiling of the London Palladium onto the stage below. Chicken Shed looked delighted with the outcome and, just like Alesha, Simon was always totally bowled over by the company, who have been going for over 50 years.
Giving his comments, he said: "I've known about Chicken Shed for a long time and I've always wondered when's the year you're going to come on Britain's Got Talent."
He added: "The work you do is actually incredible and this performance summed up everything you do. This really, really, relly is a Golden Buzzer audition."
After Chicken Shed left the stage, to be called 'pure joy' by hosts Ant and Dec, Simon then added: "That's why we have a Golden Buzzer."
