Piers Morgan has put his name forward to replace David Walliams on Britain’s Got Talent, after it was reported that the comedian had stepped down from his role as a judge.
The Sun revealed that David had officially left the show, after offensive remarks he made about contestants were leaked to the public.
David joined the panel in 2012 and has been a part of the show since.
Three favourites in the running to replace him for the 2023 series include Love Island narrator Iain Stirling and comedians Mo Gilligan and Joe Lycett.
But Piers Morgan, 57, who sat on the judging panel for the first four seasons of the show, from 2007 to 2010, has taken to Twitter to demand he is reinstated.

He tweeted a picture of himself, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, typing the caption: "Time to get the old band back together @simoncowell?"
Despite his controversial and divisive nature, many of his followers replied to his tweet in favour of the idea.
One user typed: "Yes please make this happen”, while another person commented: "Loved it with you on."
A third added: "@piersmorgan is the best judge at Britain's Got Talent. I'll be watching out for this comeback. .@SimonCowell."
It comes after David was forced to make an apology for his remarks, which included him describing an elderly contestant as a 'c***' and making sexual remarks about a woman, saying “she thinks you want to f*** her, but you don't.”
A source told The Sun: "He hasn’t taken the decision lightly, but it just feels like time to move on."
Another source reported: “David has decided to bow out after a ten-year run. He wants to leave on a high after a wonderful time.
"Being on the show has been a huge source of entertainment and joy for him and he is arguably the most popular member of the panel.”
Despite the backlash, David’s fellow judge, Amanda Holden, 51, publicly backed him this week when she described herself as being on “team David”.
Fans of the talent show have taken to social media to say who they want to replace David, with many viewers pushing TV stars including Britain's Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern, Piers Morgan and the America's Got Talent panel.
