Britain's Got Talent fans were left baffled when Simon Cowell began meowing live on air. The head judge began making the "bizarre" cat noises while Amanda and Alesha were giving their views on dance duo Romeo & Icy.
Simon loved the enthusiastic dancers but Amanda and Alesha both pointed out that they were not technically the best dancers in the show. Unimpressed with their criticism Simon began meowing quietly into his microphone while they were talking.
But soon he get louder and louder until the audience couldn't hear the other judges. It took Dec to interrupt the show to tell Simon to stop before the meowing finally ceased.
Viewers on Twitter were not impressed with his actions. Chloe BSc (@PastelUnicorn5) said: "I missed everything that Amanda and Alesha said because of the man-child we call Simon #BGT2023 #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."
Jas Judge (@JasJudge) added: "No respect from Simon there..."
Hayls (@glasweiganbabe) said: "Simon Cowell what a rude nasty man making those noises down the microphone when other judges trying to speak!!! IGNORANT MAN! @SimonCowell #BGT2023 #BritainsGotTalent good on Dec for telling him to stop @antanddec."
Sue Ormesher (@Sueorm) said: "#BritainsGotTalent why is Simon meowing when the other judges are giving their verdicts on a [bad] act? Bizarre!!"
But some viewers found his cattiness funny. Jessica Middleton (@jessmiddleton98) said, "Simon making meow sounds.," followed by crying and laughing emojis.
