Britain's Got Talent won't air next Saturday - as another show replaces it.
The much-loved talent show - which has Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli on the judging panel - will not air next Saturday in a change of schedule for ITV. The popular show usually airs a double episode, on Saturday and Sunday, in its first week, before airing more episodes each Saturday as the auditions take place.
However, it won't air next Saturday in a huge scheduling shake-up for ITV with hit movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom being listed in its place and kicking off at 8pm, whilst Britain's Got Talent has been moved to Sunday.
This change is due to the Eurovision Song Contest, which will air next Saturday at 8pm on ITV1. It is being held in the UK this year - in the north west city of Liverpool - after Ukraine won the competition last year.
There was hope it could be aired from Ukraine but owing to the war there, the hosting duties were handed to the UK - who placed second in last year's competition - who are hosting on behalf of Ukraine.
Mae Muller is representing the UK with her hit track, I Wrote a Song, and is hoping to replicate Sam Ryder's success last year.
Speaking about what the song means to her, she said: "This song is for the girlies that went through heartache, hurt or pain and came out of the other side, who persevered and came out stronger, who took the high road and chose to love themselves. Crying at home? Absolutely not. Spend the night at home? It's a no from me.
"Trash the benz? Too busy having a stunning time. It's giving growth. It's giving empowerment. It's giving liberation. I was really annoyed at this guy, I wanted to do something crazy, maybe burn his house down, I don't know, but instead I took the high road and I wrote a song. And that's called growth, ladies and gentleman."
Britain's Got Talent has given some great acts so far, and new judge Bruno Tonioli has impressed with his judging debut.
Speaking to The Mirror about signing up on the show, he said: "They offered me two different very big shows – but I knew immediately which one I wanted to do. There was only ever going to be one choice for me. Got Talent is one of the world’s biggest franchises and I thought it was the right time to work with Simon."
