Brit dad dies fighting in Ukraine against Russia as family pay tribute to 'hero'

A British dad and former special forces soldier has died while fighting against Russia on Ukraine's frontline.

Afghan War veteran Simon Lingard, known as “Grimmy” to his friends, was killed on Monday, his family has confirmed.

The dad of two was a former member of the Special Forces Support Group and had previously served with the 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment.
