Train services are being hit by more strike action, with only a couple of routes still running through Bristol today (Friday, May 12). Members of Aslef and the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) at train operators will walk out in long-running disputes on Friday and Saturday respectively.
GWR says "an extremely limited service will operate" today and tomorrow, and even those running will only operate between the hours of 7.30am and around 6.30pm. In Bristol, trains are only running on the Cardiff to Temple Meads line and London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads.
Live departure and arrival boards show that there are no trains stopping in or out of Bristol Parkway today, nor at most of the smaller stations on the Severn Beach Line including Avonmouth, Montpelier, Shirehampton, Redland, Clifton Down and Sea Mills. A note on National Rail's website states for each of these: "This station has no service today because of industrial action."

The live boards suggest there are a few services still stopping at Lawrence Hill and Stapleton Road. View the full list of GWR services still running.
Tomorrow (Saturday), some services will resume at Bristol Parkway - the Cardiff to Westbury line will stop at the station. London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads will also still be running, extending to Plymouth every other hour.
London Paddington to Cardiff line (via Bristol) will also be running tomorrow, as will the Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth line.
Today, no CrossCountry trains are running but tomorrow some will resume. Services that do run will only operate between 7am and 7pm. The route map shows that the Bristol to Plymouth line is one of those that will be operating tomorrow, serving both Bristol Parkway and Temple Meads.
