Bristol tenant in 'living hell' after ceiling that collapsed starts leaking again

A Bristol man is "living through hell" after his ceiling started leaking again several months after it first collapsed. In October 2021, the ceiling in Jerry Daly's Cotham flat collapsed after consistently leaking, and he accused his landlords Curo of failing to fix the problem.

The 57-year-old says that his ceiling is now leaking again, and his sister told Bristol Live that he is 'living through hell'. Jerry has aphasia, a condition which makes it difficult to speak as the result of a stroke, and so his sister Sally spoke on his behalf.

She said: "He's been there 27 years. My heart is hurting for him, he's living through hell." Curo apologised to Jerry for the delays in fixing the problem when the ceiling last collapsed, and said restrictions around working in residents' homes because of Covid-19 also made it difficult for them to fix the problem.
