Bristol Temple Meads: Woman found 'trapped' in train coach after engine decoupled - leaving her behind

A woman has spoken out on her "distressing" experience over the Jubilee weekend when she became trapped in a train carriage. Grace was on her way to Cardiff to visit family, found herself stuck when the engine decoupled at Bristol Temple Meads.

Along with a middle-aged couple, who had been travelling in the same coach, Grace tried to attract attention by banging the windows and shouting, reports Somerset Live. By the time the trio was eventually freed, the Cardiff train had moved on without them and they had to get a later service. Grace said she actually ended up missing her family commitment due to the delay.

"I was travelling on the 10.38am service from Bath to Cardiff on Saturday (May 4) to see family. I have taken that train lots of times and there is usually an announcement when we reach Temple Meads, to tell you which coaches will be going on to Cardiff.
