The first day of Bristol Sounds festival has arrived. The six-day music series starts this evening (Wednesday, June 22) and will run until next week Monday June 27.
It's taking place at Lloyds Amphitheatre, providing a stunning backdrop of the harbour. The acts are just as exciting as the picture-perfect location with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Confidence Man kicking the six days off.
Following this will be Paolo Nutini on Thursday, June 23 and a return to the city for Elbow on Friday, June 24. Saturday, June 25 will feature electronic pop duo Jungle with support act, Welsh electronic musician and producer Kelly Lee Owens.

Sunday, June 26 will see First Aid Kit and Katy J Pearson serving up a headline show for Bristol and wrapping up the 2022 edition will be The War On Drugs. And if you're planning to attend, the first thing on your mind may be how exactly you plan to get there.
Luckily, the stunning central location means you wont be short of transport options. Here are some of the most efficient ways to get to Bristol Sounds six upcoming shows.
Driving:
If you plan to drive to Bristol Sounds Festival, you'll be able to find parking at the large underground car park nearby. Millennium Square Car Park is open 24 hours, so you don't have to worry if you plan to be leaving the festival late. However, it's worth noting that Elton John is also playing a big gig in Bristol tonight so the roads are likely to be even busier than usual heading into the centre.
Train:
If you're coming from outside of Bristol, arriving at Temple Meads station by train is your best bet - although there are limited services due to the rail strikes. From there you can choose to enjoy a nice walk which will only take you around 20 minutes.
Alternatively there are many bus routes that will take you straight to the centre. Buses depart every 15 and 20 minutes from Temple meads - full route details can be found here.
Buses:
