Bristol Rovers have taken season tickets off sale temporarily after the club broke through the 5,000 barrier ahead of their return to League One.
The Gas have sold 5,090 season tickets with the new campaign just three weeks away, breaking the previous 10-year high of 5,056 that was set in 2018/19.
Earlier this week, the Gas sold out the remaining spaces in the Thatchers, County Contractors and East Terraces, and with the opening home fixtures against Forest Green Rovers and Oxford United sold out, season tickets have been taken off sale.
The club says it is exploring the possibility of selling pro-rata season tickets for the remaining games and it will make an announcement in due course.
The capacity at the Mem will rise this season after the removal of the family stand in the north east corner of the ground, returning the area to terracing and enabling the Gas to sell more tickets after a surge in interest in the second half of last season.
The family section has been relocated to the MKJ Group Stand in the south west corner of the stadium.
Rovers' dramatic upturn in form pushed them into the promotion picture and the final three games of the season were all sold out as Joey Barton's team sneaked into the top three and claimed promotion on the last day.
And the Gas will hope packed crowds – a product of the momentum behind the club – will make a difference on the pitch as the club heads back into the third tier after a one-year stay in League Two.
The Gas offered season tickets for £315-470, placing them amongst most of their League One rivals in the rankings, although there were some outliers that offered significantly cheaper or more expensive options.
