James Belshaw - 4
Can add another deflection to the list of goals that he has conceded this season, with George Broadbent's shot taking a nick off his teammate Will Evans before flying into the net. Let down by his defence for both goals, which stemmed from badly-defenced setpieces, although he will be frustrated he did not make better contact with an attempted punch in the build-up to the second goal. Quiet second half, making a good save to deny Tyrone Marsh, although he would have been offside anyway.
Bobby Thomas - 4
Played the ball through the lines to good effect at times, but he was part of a defence breached far too easily in the first half and he was taken off at the break to allow for a change of shape.
James Connolly (c) - 4
A proud moment to don the captain's armband, for sure, but he will not be proud of his team's performance. Didn't appear to be at fault for either goal, but he and his teammates struggled up against the power of Lee Ndlovu and the relentless running of Danny Newton. Saw plenty of the ball on an afternoon the Gas struggled to progress the ball.
Lewis Gibson - 4
Hesitated when he had the chance to apply a convincing clearance in the build-up to the second goal. Like Connolly, he had plenty of touches but Rovers' midfield did not function correctly all afternoon, meaning he did not always have great options to play forward.
Scott Sinclair - 5
Took up good positions and contributed a couple of promising moments, but the Gas found it tough to get him involved in the game where he could make a positive impact.
Antony Evans - 4
Consistently disappointed with his delivery from set-pieces in the first half, and with Boreham Wood's effective attempts to stifle Rovers' play in midfield, he had minimal influence in open play, too. Withdrawn at half time.
Glenn Whelan - 4
Struggled to control the game as he would have liked, with the visitors stifling Rovers' attempts to play and their direct attacks bypassed the midfield. One of the quartet that was replaced at the interval.
Lewis Gordon - 4
Beaten too easily on numerous occasions down Rovers' left side, and he did not produce enough quality when he had the chance to cross. Taken off at half time.
Aaron Collins - 4
Could have done better with a first-half chance, with his shot blocked by David Stephens. Threatened in behind once or twice but for much of the contest, he did not receive the kind of service he craves between the lines.
Ryan Loft - 4
Clearly still getting up to speed after a spell out with a hamstring injury, but his touch was awry when Rovers tried to play into his feet. Did not see a chance come his way.
Josh Coburn - 5
Threatened on occasion in the right channel in the first half, but those moments came to nothing. One or two half-chances came his way after the break, putting a shot wide at the near post.
Substitutes
Trevor Clarke (for Gordon on 46') - 5
Added a bit of intensity, but not quite the quality needed to overcome a two-goal deficit.
James Gibbons (for Thomas on 46') - 4
Rovers played more of the game in the Boreham Wood half after the break. Lacked precision on the ball.
Luke McCormick (for Evans on 46') - 5
Brought intent, but again he could not contribute the required quality to break down a deep-set defence sitting on a two-goal lead.
Sam Finley (for Whelan on 46') - 5
Praised by his manager for playing despite having a tough time with a virus over the past couple of days. Could not rescue Rovers' cup hopes.
Harvey Saunders (for Loft on 66') - 6
Perhaps the only player who leaves with any credit. An impactful cameo that posed some of the tougher questions put to the Boreham Wood defence all afternoon.
