Bristol Rovers are searching for a new club secretary following the departure of Jack Tomlinson after four months in the job.
Tomlinson joined the Gas in December following the departure of David Sams, who spent 21 years working for the club before leaving in November. Prior to being recruited by Rovers, Tomlinson had been secretary for both Swindon Town and Oldham Athletic.
Tomlinson, aged 21 when he was appointed, was the youngest secretary in the EFL and was in charge of the administration of the club's football operation, dealing with contracts, fixture arrangements, press and scout tickets and the like.
However, he is no longer employed by the Gas, leaving before Saturday's game against Portsmouth. A club spokesman confirmed it was due to a disciplinary matter and there would be no further comment.
After eight years of Sams in the role, the Gas are looking for their third secretary of the 2022/23 campaign and it is understood the recruitment process will begin swiftly.
Meanwhile, Gasheads have been reminded that terrace tickets for the Easter Monday trip to Fleetwood Town on April 10 must be collected in person due to Fleetwood's ticketing policy. Rovers have been allocated 1,115 tickets and will not be offered any more.
A Rovers spokesman said: "Due to Fleetwood's policy of not offering duplicate requests, all terrace tickets will need to be collected from the Rovers club shop (10am-4pm) or from the ticket office on a matchday. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
