Bristol restaurant and bar 'with one of the best views in city' up for sale

A harbourside bar and restaurant popular for its alfresco terrace has been put up for sale this week. Broken Dock Kitchen & Bar on Millennium Promenade is currently on the market for £500,000 through Maggs & Allen estate agents.

Broken Dock first opened in spring 2017 on the site previously occupied by the popular Brigstow Bar & Kitchen and run by the same owner. It benefited from a complete refurbishment with a brand new look and identity in a stunning location on the jetty opposite the SS Great Britain, previously described as having one of "the best views in the city".

The restaurant and bar is independently run and offers an all-day menu of brunch, bistro dishes and Sunday roasts. The venue, which has indoor and outdoor seating totalling around 100 covers, also offered a private hire service.

In the listing, Maggs & Allen describe the purchase as a rare opportunity: "Very well presented ground floor restaurant/bar of approximately 1,180 sq ft arranged as open plan dining area and bar providing approximately 40 covers with adjoining toilet facilities, kitchen and storage. To the front is a private terrace offering further seating for approximately 60 customers. This is a rare opportunity not to be missed, early enquiries are recommended."

BristolLive has reached out to Broken Dock for comment. It is unclear as of yet if the restaurant will close as a result of the sale.
