A Bristol city centre office building is now fully let after an industrial machinery business expanded its operations at the facility.
Domin, which specialises in electrified hydraulic power generation, has more than doubled its footprint at the 33 Bristol complex on Colston Avenue.
The firm now occupies around 10,000 sq ft of space in the art deco-inspired building, which was acquired by property investment firm Topland for £9.8m in 2019.
Topland said that following the purchase it had carried out an “extensive” £1m refurbishment, in order to attract business back to the city centre following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 46,000 sq ft building also counts safe box facility Bristol Vaults, virtual events business Discussion Box and serviced office space provider Orega among its tenants.
Steve Pope, group director of asset management at Topland, said: “We’re excited to see 33 Bristol at full capacity and boasting such a diverse range of innovative businesses. Domin’s further expansion in Bristol cements the region’s status as home for businesses in key growth sectors seeking flexible, grade A workspace. The deals struck with all our tenants at 33 Bristol reflect the exciting and high-quality space we have delivered as well as our ability to select underachieving assets and transform them into prime yielding investments.
“While many investors have remained cautious within the commercial market since the pandemic, we continue to remain proactive improving assets like 33 Bristol which have become increasingly popular as businesses return to urban centres.”
Commercial property consultants Burston Cook led the deal with Domin, financial details of which were not disclosed. Office agency director Finola Ingham said: “When Topland acquired the building it was 75% vacant. We are delighted that we have been able to assist Domin with their expansion and we look forward to working with Topland in the future to source more high quality tenants to enhance the under managed assets they acquire.”
Following its revamp 33 Bristol was equipped with a new reception and area, locker room facilities, storage space for around 80 bikes, as well as electric vehicle charging stations.
