Bristol hotter than Majorca today as Met Office reveals when it will be hottest

Bristol will be hotter than Majorca today as the Met Office predicts searing temperatures in the city. After the city was placed under yellow rain and thunderstorm weather warnings on Monday (June 12) Bristolians can expect sunny skies and soaring temperatures today (June 13).

Today is forecast to be the hottest day of the week, reaching a peak of 29C before dropping back down to the mid-20s as the week progresses, ahead of a wet and humid weekend. The Met Office also warns of high UV and pollen levels throughout the week.

From 10am, the mercury will already be hitting 22C and will increase steadily through the day before hitting 29C or 30C at around 4pm. The temperature will then cool off into the evening, dropping to the mid-teens through the night, before picking up again tomorrow morning.

Things will cool down through the week, though will stay warm, with an average temperature of 24C forecast for a rainy Sunday. The rain is forecast to continue into the start of next week.
