This weekend will see Bristol’s flagship waterside event, the Bristol Harbour Festival, return to the city. Taking place on July 15-17, it promises to bring a host of excitement to the city centre.
The iconic festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and is marking the celebration with an impressive nine performance areas. They will feature familiar favourites and new attractions, filling one and a half miles of the city with music, vessels, food markets, circus acts, live music and performers.
Acts set to perform include iTunes chart topper, rapper, poet, educator and events producer Craft-D as well as a world premiere of The Hamlet Voyage, performed on the Matthew. Or, you can spot tall ships, explore the Albion Dockyard or even enrol your little one to take part in a baby race.

And the best news is that this can all be enjoyed alongside beaming sunshine. Met Office predications are forecasting that this may be the hottest Harbour Festival to date.
Friday, July 15 will see highs of 23C in Bristol - with a breeze to make the heat bearable. And, there's no prediction for rain.
Saturday, July 16 is set to see uninterrupted sunshine all day, with impressive highs of 27C. The first day of the event is also said to be clear of cloud and so it's certainly advised that you don't forget your sun cream.
And Sunday promises brilliant weather too. The final day of Bristol Harbour Festival is set to bring highs of 31 degrees Celsius, alongside a gentle breeze, which will certainly be welcome.
With the weather Bristol is due, there's no better place to enjoy it than the Harbour. And, the full schedule of free events is set to make it all the better.
A statement from organisers said: "The event is expecting very hot weather this year and organisers are urging everyone to stay hydrated, drink in moderation and look after each other in the sun.
"There will be water points installed throughout the festival site so please bring a reusable water bottle to use across the day."
Organisers are also urging festival-goers against bringing glass bottles to the event, to ensure audiences are kept safe. Recycling bins are being provided in every location to cater for cans and plastic bottles, or attendees are invited to also take their rubbish home as part of the festival's sustainability drive.
