Firefighters from Bristol rushed to East Somerset to help rescue a horse called Magic that had managed to trap its leg in the gate of its horsebox.
As well as fighting fires in South Bristol, the crew at Bedminster Fire Station are specialists in animal rescue and get called all over the region to help animals in distress - quite often involving large animal water rescues.
But overnight, the crew from Hartcliffe Way raced down to Frome in Somerset after the owner of a horse called Magic somehow managed to get his leg stuck in a gate stored at the back of its horse box.

The crew used electric cutters and spreaders to free the horse - and thankfully the only thing that emerged damaged was the gate itself.
A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "Our animal rescue team attended an incident in Frome overnight to rescue Magic, an eight-year-old horse. While in transit, Magic became entangled by its legs in a gate stored at the rear of the box. Electric cutters and spreaders were used to free the beast."
