Bristol Comedy Garden bringing some of the biggest names in comedy to the Downs this summer

After years being deprived of Bristol's summer favourites, this year all of the best-loved events have made a return. Coming back to some of the South West's favourite locations with stellar line-ups, they're better than ever.

There are festivals, open-air cinema events and more that are sure to be enjoyed. And one that will definitely peak the excitement of many is the return of Bristol Comedy Garden.

Bristol Comedy Garden has been hosted in Queen Square since its first edition in 2011, but last year moved to Clifton Downs. And while shows have previously taken place in a large tent, last year saw the comedians take to an open-air stage with the audience sat on chairs spread out on the green space, in line with social distancing guidelines.

Although restrictions have been lifted, this year the show will still take shape as an open air event on the picturesque Clifton Downs. This year's event will be extra special as the festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

The line-up is a treat for all comedy lovers feature huge names, such as Netflix star James Acaster, Qi’s Alan Davies, This Way Up’s Aisling Bea, and the Mash Report’s Nish Kumar. Starstruck’s Rose Matafeo, Father Ted star Arda O’hanlon, Taskmaster's Phil Wang and more will also be there to impress fans; alongside other incredible stars.

As well as some of comedies best acts performing in an open-air arena with theatre-style seating, you can enjoy walk-up bars, incredible food stalls from some local favourites.
