Bristol City Women's Head Coach Lauren Smith has praised Nigel Pearson and the club for their support in helping develop her side and driving them to success.
Smith's high fliers go up against table-toppers Liverpool at Ashton Gate on Sunday in a first versus second clash in front of a record WSL 2 attendance.
Over 4,100 tickets have been sold for the match, smashing their previous best of 3,053 against Blackburn in November and also setting a league record for an FA Championship fixture.
Those figures are a testament to the terrific work Smith and her side have achieved this season on her return to the club at the beginning of the campaign.
Following relegation, there was a huge overall within the squad including 11 new signings, five academy players brought into the first team and the departures of high-profile players such as Sophie Baggaley, Ebony Salmon and Carla Humphrey.
With City 11 points behind Liverpool with a game in hand, knocking them off top spot will be a tall order but it has still been a hugely productive campaign - something Smith also puts down to the togetherness around the club including the enthusiasm of Pearson.
She said: "We are in the same building as the men's team, the academy, we work together, we share resources and we speak often and those things are different to any other environment I've been in before so it's excellent and to know that the club as a whole is behind everything that you do - no else has that.
"That is the difference in terms of how it feels here, the players feel it and staff do else well. He (Pearson) comes and watches our sessions. I've been in and watched theirs.
"He supports the girls, he knows all their names and I think the fact that there is a genuine interest across the teams is different and something that you can't buy or find anywhere else.
"It has to happen because people want it to and it's genuine and I love that and that's what has driven us. You step into the building and everybody wants you to do well, and you believe it and you have to do it for everyone that is here."
Social media footage has previously shown Smith locked in conversations with Pearson at the High Performance Centre training complex and Smith has highlighted the advantages of two coaches bouncing ideas off each other.
She added: "The tactics across the two teams are quite different, but in terms of us understanding each other... when I went in a couple of weeks ago we sat through a game plan.
"I was in there with them discussing the WSL and they were doing things on how they were going to beat the next opponents so we speak about it in terms of each team that we lead.
"It's not really a cross but it's great to understand coach to coach, manager to manager that's always something to share.
"I think we have different situations at the moment, where they're at in terms of performances and results is difficult for the team but obviously we talk about everything and that's not just the pitch stuff but what goes on around the building, how we lead things, how recruitment looks like so it's a lot bigger than just what happens on the pitch."
