Christmas is coming to Bristol with the arrival of the Broadmead Christmas Market. The shopping quarter is adorned with lights and stalls ready to welcome the festive season to the city centre.
Situated in the heart of the city, the market is home to 40 stalls owned by local traders, who sell seasonal delights, crafts and more, for those looking for a unique present for their loved ones. This year will also see the return of the popular Jäger Barn Bar alongside the Christmas Igloo and Ski Gondolas - which you can book in advance to guarantee a cosy visit to the market in comfort.
Of course if you're travelling to the Christmas Markets from Monday, Nov 28 the you could be affected by the new Clean Air Zone, depending on your vehicle. Here's all you need to know to prepare yourselves for the market's return, including how to navigate the new CAZ:

2022 dates and times for the Chrismas market
The event will open on Friday, November 4 and run right up until December 23. It will be open for seven weeks in total, allowing plenty of time to explore the range of food, drink and gift stalls on offer.
Bristol's Christmas Market is open to the public from 10am until 10pm seven days a week. Weekends tend to be the busiest time, which is great if you enjoy a buzzing, busy atmosphere but it can get very crowded so make sure you factor that into your visit.
Where to park near the Christmas Market
Broadmead is served by two main car parks on Dean Street and in The Galleries, although there are several in the area in the likely event they are full. If you're travelling by car then there a several car parks in the immediate area you can choose from:

Bond Street, BS1 3LJ
The Clean Air Zone
If you are planning on drving in on, or after, Monday November 28 then you will need to be aware of the Clean Air Zone as it will affect your access to some of the above car parks.
You can find a map of the zone and all the streets which are affected here and a breakdown of which drivers will have to pay to enter the Clean Air Zone, and how much, depending on their vehicle.
Travelling by train
The railway station closest to the Christmas Market is Bristol Temple Meads for those opting to travel by train. If you exit the station through the main entrance and head down past the taxi rank and car park to the main road you will get to Temple Gate.
Once there turn right and follow the main road all the way to Old Market roundabout. Then take the left turning towards Castle Street, follow the road round and you will reach Cabot Circus shopping centre and Broadmead where the Christmas Market begins.
Travel by bus
