Bristol Bears have released their season ticket prices for the 2023/24 campaign with an adult seat in the South Stand rising by 10 per cent in terms of total price, but with a price freeze across the board for junior fans under the age of 19. The reduction of teams in the Premiership from 13 to 11 also means that many ticket prices deliver better value on a price-per-game average.
The Bears sold more than 10,000 season tickets for the current campaign as they lie seventh in the Premiership and face a Challenge Cup round of 16 clash against Clermont this Friday at Ashton Gate.
The rise in the price of an adult ticket in the South Stand appears a slight anomaly with regards to the remaining stands in the stadium, as each increase in the various areas for adults, seniors, under-25s and under-22s is in the 3-5 per cent range.
That is tempered, however, by the fact that tickets are now applicable to 15 matches at Ashton Gate, as opposed to 14 last season. A season ticket for the next campaign covers 10 Premiership home games, two pool matches in the relevant European competition with the Bears still possessing an excellent chance of qualifying for the Champions Cup next term, and three Premiership Cup ties.
As a result, on the price-per-game metric, while an adult ticket in the Lansdown Centre costs £30 more in total price (from £665 to £695), over the course of the season it offers greater value with the 15 matches costing £46 each rather than last season's £48.
Along with the price freeze across the board for all junior fans, seats located in the Dolman Stand wings are also remaining at their respective 2022/23 prices across all age bands. Under-12s also receive a free home shirt as part of the package.
Current season ticket holders can renew from Friday, March 31 online and Tuesday, April 11 for phone and online orders. Tickets go on general online sale from Tuesday, April 4. You can find more details HERE
The Bears are the ninth Premiership club to release their prices for next season with adult prices ranging from £230 to £695, broadly in line with Leicester Tigers (£290 to £650) and more affordable than Bath (£395 to £775, based on early bird pricing), Exeter Chiefs (£300 to £900), Sale (£313 to £966) and Saracens (£350 to £1,280).
Newcastle Falcons have the best value season ticket on pricing alone with an adult ticket ranging from £120 to £480.
