A leading health boss is calling for a return to face coverings and social distancing saying "we can't pretend Covid doesn't exist".
Chris Hopson, chief executive of NHS Providers, is warning the current situation is putting a major strain on the NHS.
He says it is time for a major "grown up" debate on how we will live with Covid. And he said it is something which should be backed by other health chiefs including Professor Chris Whitty, the chief medical officer, and Sir Patrick Vallance, the chief scientific adviser, reports Walesonline.
