Brindley recruitment firms join Kingdom Group

A brace of employment firms which specialise in the healthcare sector have become part of the Kingdom group.

Birmingham-based Brindley Medical has merged with Newton-le-Willows outfit Kingdom and will rebrand as Kingdom Medical Services.

The merger will allow Kingdom Medical Services to expand at scale, helping it to meet the huge and growing demand for qualified professionals such as midwives and doctors in the healthcare sector.

Balraj Sohal will continue as managing director and all 22 staff are being retained, with the company remaining in its current base in Edgbaston.

Its sister firm Brindley Recruitment, which focuses on non-clinical staffing, will now form part of existing group company Kingdom Recruitment.

Mr Sohal said: "Brindley was founded just four years ago and in that time we've gone from strength to strength, meeting the challenges of the pandemic and more.

"Becoming part of the Kingdom Group of companies will help us to scale up even faster - not least in terms of technology and back-office support which are both crucial if we are going to help to meet the huge demand in the health and social care marketplace."

Kingdom Group was founded more than 25 years ago and supplies medical locums, nurses, midwives, theatre and ICU staff among other healthcare staff across the UK.

Founder and chief executive Terry Barton added: "We are delighted to welcome Balraj and the Brindley team to the Kingdom Group.

"We share the same commitment to high standards and safe delivery of healthcare, delivered by trained, experienced and specialist healthcare professionals.

"Working together, we see great opportunities to scale up and offer the best possible support to both healthcare and non clinical clients as well as staff looking for permanent and temporary roles."
