Tottenham will look to get back to winning ways tonight when they visit Brighton in the Premier League.
Spurs’ form has continued to fluctuate wildly of late, with a 5-0 drubbing of Everton followed by a 3-2 defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Antonio Conte is desperately seeking some consistency, with his side now sitting eighth and six points adrift of fierce rivals Arsenal in fourth, who have a game in hand.
Can they start a winning run at the Amex?
Dan Kilpatrick outlines three ways Tottenham can become more consistent...
Improve at set-pieces
Spurs have conceded decisive goals from set-pieces in four of their past five League defeats, and Antonio Conte has raised the issue unprompted. For all his qualities, Cristian Romero has been particularly vulnerable.
Spurs must avoid giving away silly free-kicks, and improve at defending balls into their box.
Big players step up
Conte has called on his big three — Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Hugo Lloris — to keep Spurs in top-four contention. Kane has been imperious in recent matches, but Lloris’s form has dipped since he signed a contract extension, while Son has looked tired. Spurs need them at their best.
More from the bench
Conte is reluctant to use his subs, but Spurs do have potentially game-changing options in Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura. No side in the Premier League can hope to get by with a first XI alone, and Conte needs to be proactive with his replacements.
