Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has backed versatile forward Leandro Trossard to continue improving amid links with a move to both Arsenal and Chelsea. The Belgium international has impressed this season, hitting new heights and becoming a key man for the Seagulls.
The 27-year-old has seven goals and three assists so far in the Premier League, including an impressive hat-trick against Liverpool to earn his side a point. His tricky skillset and versatility make him an impressive option for the top sides, but his recent inclusion of more end product only enhances that.
For the Blues, it could see Trossard reunite with former boss Graham Potter, who helped develop the forward into the player he is currently. He could move back into the wing-back role he often played under the manager, but he also offers an option in the front line.

As for the Gunners, their attention will be improving their quality and strength in depth, with the wide areas being a particular problem. According to reports, January will be the time for Mikel Arteta to add in those areas, with few options available beyond Bukayo Saka in particular on the right-wing.
Trossard could be an ideal player for both teams, with Brighton boss De Zerbi claiming he could continue to improve, telling the press: "I'm very happy for him but I think he can play better, he can do more. You are not to think in a bad way when I speak like this, because I believe in Leandro, I think he played six fantastic games, but when I say he can play better it’s because I have a very important confidence in Leo.
"In different positions, he can score more I think, he can play 90 minutes, but I spoke with the team about this, because if he plays 90 minutes he can have more of a chance to score and to play better.”
With Trossard's deal expiring next summer - though with a one-year club extension option - it could prove to be a bargain signing for either side.
