The Duke of Hastings and the Bridgertons were recently reunited as Bridgerton stars Jonathan Bailey and Regé-Jean Page were seen together at a pre-Oscars party. The actors, aged 35, posed for a photo at the event, showcasing their camaraderie.
Bailey, who will be returning as Anthony Bridgerton in the upcoming third season, was dressed in a black knit sweater with a white T-shirt underneath, complemented by a watch. Page, known for his role as Simon Basset in season 1, sported a dark blue jacket over a black shirt, accessorized with a silver chain.
The duo attended the Creative Artists Agency pre-Oscars party at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, where they mingled with other celebrities like Olivia Wilde and Sandra Bullock.
While neither Bailey nor Page is up for an Oscar this year, both actors have been making waves in the awards circuit. Bailey won the best supporting actor in a limited series at the Critics Choice Awards for his performance in Showtime's Fellow Travelers. Page, on the other hand, received an Emmy nomination and a NAACP Image Award for his role in Bridgerton.
Despite Page's departure from Bridgerton, he has made it clear that he has no intentions of returning to the series. He mentioned being content with fulfilling his initial job requirements and expressed openness to the character being recast.
Netflix announced that the third season of Bridgerton will premiere in two parts, with the first four episodes releasing on May 16 and the remaining four on June 13. The upcoming season will focus on the romantic journey of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.
Executive producer Shonda Rhimes revealed that the series will explore the romantic stories of all eight Bridgerton siblings, though not necessarily in chronological order. Each sibling's love story will be a central theme in the upcoming seasons.
