Bridgerton has paid tribute to two members of its crew with a dedication in the series four finale.
The regency romance drama, based on Julia Quinn’s novels, dropped the final four episodes of its latest season on Thursday (26 February) – focusing on the love story between Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and household maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).
After the final scene, the Netflix show paid tribute to two late members of the Bridgerton team. A dedication title card read before the credits rolled: “In loving memory of Nicholas Braimbridge, Tony Cooper.”
Braimbridge was a scenic artist who worked on both the show and its spin-off, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. He was joined on the production team by Cooper, who worked as a driver for the cast on both shows.
Braimbridge’s colleague on Bridgerton, art director Alison Gartshore, paid tribute to the artist last May, describing him as “hugely talented”.
“He was an expert faux finisher well known for his exquisite marbling and wood grain finishes, the knowledge of which was built up over years working with very top end interior designers and latterly within the film and TV industries,” she wrote on a GoFundMe page for his two daughters.

“I worked closely with Nick and he was an integral part of our Art department team, and was a delightful, charming, funny man - a true gent. Everyone who met him loved him and we as a team are all very upset by his passing, he will be greatly missed.”
Cooper worked on a number of blockbuster hits and TV shows as a driver during his career, being a unit driver for the final three Harry Potter films. Meanwhile, he was a cast driver for 2015’s Cinderella, Winston Churchill biopic Darkest Hour, Netflix’s The Crown and Marvel’s Black Widow.
Bridgerton first arrived on Netflix in December 2020, shooting series one stars Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page to stardom. Produced by Shonda Rhymes’ production company Shondaland, the show has focused on a different Bridgerton sibling each series – with Daphne (Dynevor) starring in series one and Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) leading the cast for series two.
Colin (Luke Newton) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd) shared the spotlight for series three, while Benedict’s romantic pursuit of Sophie has been the main storyline of the current series. Split into two parts, the first four episodes arrived on Netflix in January ahead of the final four instalments a month later.
