A professional wedding make-up artist has spoken of her surprise when finding something that - in a career sprinkled with bridezillas, tantrums and family bust-ups - must rank as one of her most bizarre discoveries.
Going by the name of Jenny, she said she was helping the bride-to-be to pay a visit to the loo just before the ceremony was about to take place, when all of a sudden they came across the groom being breastfed by his own mother.
The story came out on a recent podcast called 'Unfiltered Bride', in which host Georgie Mitchell - who works as a wedding planner herself - revealed she heard the astonishing story when she had worked with Jenny previously.

Building up the tension, Georgie told co-host Beth how '[The bride] walked into the toilet and what she saw is enough to end a wedding'. Naturally her co-host took this to mean that the groom was perhaps having an affair or taking drugs, but Georgie went on to assure her that what was going on was in fact 'much worse' than that, reports the Mirror.
After revealing that the groom was in fact being breastfed by his mum, Beth with mouth agape says: "Sorry, WHAT? Why would you marry a man [who still breastfeeds]?", to which Georgie replied, "I don't think she knew that was what was happening!"
"She'd obviously been doing it continuously to get to that point", she added later on.
Remarkably, the bride apparently decided to go ahead with the wedding. Imagine looking into the eyes of your mother-in-law after that though.
Georgie then stated: "Everybody is in the room waiting! But you definitely wouldn't kiss when they say will you kiss the groom!"
Listeners of the podcast could not wait to share their views on such a bizarre story. One person wrote: "The strongest man couldn't lift my jaw right now."
Another commented: "Took 'mummy's boy' to a whole new level."
